Hello Nicholas. Thank you for the excellent catch. I have no idea why the date was set to the 21st. After checking it against a journal entry, I can confirm that the show happened on the 8th of March and I've changed the date on the page. Unfortunately the date will have to remain incorrect on the metadata on the recording. - FLS

The poster gives March 8 as the date for this performance. Was the concert rescheduled for the 21st? It seems the 8th itself was a rescheduled date.

If you are just in it for the music, then I suggest you skip this one. The sound quality of this recording truly is poor and I imagine listening to these songs might feel somewhat like standing in the middle of a vortex, a spiralling whirlwind sucking up sound and leaving the listener disoriented.

On top of this, the event suffers from regular power cuts, abruptly ending several songs and having everyone present guessing about the cause of this (I leave it to you to find out if they ever do get to the root of things).

Nevertheless, if you are interested in the Fugazi Live Series as such, documenting the complete Fugazi experience, then this recording is worth your time, since it offers an opportunity to be the proverbial 'fly on the wall' during an event that serves a noble cause in the home town of Fugazi. In this regard, the opening remarks in itself are notable, as are the random conversations and fragmented chitchat you pick up left and right.

However, the downside of all this is that you might end up feeling somewhat forlorn in the course of things, since it is as if you are out there, caught up in the middle of everything, but there is no way to actually engage in any of it. The fact that this recording is not primarily about the music, underscores this point...

Anyways, as Guy appropriately puts it at one point during the occasion: "Try not to think of it as a musical event".
