Of Nut to Leaf is the first book published by Exotic Fever Records, a Philadelphia-based, DC born DIY label turning 25 this year. The book is also the first publication by Erick Thomas Shelley, singer and lyricist of Kenosha, Wisconsin's The Sinister Quarter, who released their full length Pink Guillotine on Exotic Fever in 2004. Drawing critical acclaim, the band was sadly short-lived. The book is a celebration of twenty years of that album, and extends the beautiful poetry of Shelley for readers while introducing new listeners to the past music.
